Job Description

Manager - Building Management Systems, Location: Bahrain

Key Responsibilities:

  • To achieve the division’s financial budgets/targets including all strategic business units (Systems, Specialist Sub-contracts, Infrastructure Products, Industrial Safety Projects/Supplies, Gas and Oil Field Supplies, Retail and Trading)
  • To prepare and implement business plans, keeping costs within the budget
  • To ensure appropriate management of inventory-stock and WIP (Work in Progress)
  • To generate new business opportunities through appropriate means, including participation in government tenders by facilitating the specification of the division’s systems/products in order to make them a pre-qualified/approved source
  • To provide sound managerial direction to the division including technical expertise
  • To carry out a planned and scheduled programme of visits to Clients, Customers, Contractors and Consultants
  • To ensure all projects are completed as per contractual requirements ensuring customer satisfaction and within costs estimated, by overseeing the product/project managers fulfil their commitments in this area
  • To liaise with Principals, Clients/Customers, Contractors, Consultants, Purchase Department and other corporate office staff as required
  • To achieve profitability, management operational cost controls and capital expenditure for the division by obtaining competitive pricing with Principals / Suppliers
  • To approve bids and offer prices and discounts on very large value tenders
  • To organize meetings between project /  product managers and clients / consultants / contractors as required, to make presentations and resolve any contractual differences
  • To approve all purchase requests, Capital Expenses, local purchases and petty cash involving large sums
  • To provide quotations in consultation with Product / Project Managers and participate in tenders in private and government sectors for projects
  • To lead, motivate, train and direct the staff team to achieve their desired targets / objectives
  • To ensure staff maintain quality customer support at all times
  • To organize seminars for clients/customers/contractors/consultants for product updates / launches and Principals’ promotions/showcase new range

Essential:

· Certified Engineer (Mechanical or electrical or electronics ) from the GCC with 10 to 15 years’ experience handling a similar organization or Projects and Products in a senior capacity

·         Experience in Building Management and Integration (experience with Honeywell, Johnson Control, Schneider or ABB is a must)

·         Experience with CCTV and Fire alarm system

·         Experience in handling large integration teams with good communication and negotiation skills.

·         Having a sharp analytical mind with problem solving abilities

·         Technically sound, contractually competent and commercially smart
